* Michael Lamm pointed us toward the blog that photographer Christine Rotolo has put together to cover this year’s La Carrera Panamericana. Looks like a great field.

* We’ve previously covered Colonel Green’s hybrid gas-electric cars of the 1920s-1930s and the reasons why he built them, so it was interesting to see Modern Mechanix this week run an article (which originally appeared in the January 1930 issue of Modern Mechanics) on the cars.

* Bradley Price at Automobiliac was able to capture some great shots of the Silver Arrows at the Goodwood Revival this year.

* The folks at Autoculture are looking to see if anybody recognizes the hot rod in a few film stills they posted this week.

* Finally, David Greenlees at The Old Motor this week introduced us to Frances Birtles, an early bicyclist and motorist who gained notoriety for several adventures, including a London-to-Sydney marathon in 1927.
